South Central Wisconsin
South Central Wisconsin Unite To Amend (SCWUTA) is a non-partisan organization, formed in April 2010. We are a citizens group organized to overturn Citizens United and reclaim the liberties and privileges guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution to human beings but now being usurped by corporations. Through grassroots outreach, education, and advocacy, we address the issue of corporate power at the local level through ballot initiatives, resolutions, speaking engagements, and citizens actions. We regularly meet to discuss strategy and initiative content. Our volunteer base is growing steadily as citizens have found a voice and renewed sense of hope against the onslaught of corporate money. You too can make a difference! Please volunteer or contact us for more information. Help us restore a government of the People, by the People and for the People.
General SCWUTA meetings are held once a month to strategize and mobilize. We meet either the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00pm. For future dates, please see our calendar.
UPDATE: The next SCWUTA general meeting is Tuesday, December 11th, from 6:30-8:00pm at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Blvd, Madison (map). Please join us!
